I copied in the new files downloaded from Traylaw's link above, though I do suspect the device isn't actually using them - but cannot be sure. I had been operating the device through TomTom HOME software, and when any of the Loquendo voices are selected, it shows on screen that the voice must be downloaded or installed from CD - yet it will happily play the 'test' of that voice. What I am going to try is a bit of a kludge - I'll back up the existing files on the device, replace with these, and see how it goes - will edit back in here when done, and thank you for the suggestion & helpful links! OK - there is some good news here on the overall issue that prompted all of this digging and messing with voice files When I had seen in the TomTom HOME software that (pretty much) all the Loquendo voices were being listed as 'Not compatible' after the map & other updates, I had been deathly afraid to switch the unit from the Kate - UK voice to any other, fearing I would not be able to reselect it later.
